Our Services
We are a comprehensive primary care office, offering extensive wellness and prevention care, sick visits, and chronic condition care. We see patients and families of all ages, from newborn visits to senior Medicare physicals. We are also pleased to offer the following services, highlighted below:
FAA and Air Traffic Control Physicals
We are certified aviation medical examiners to perform Class 1, 2 and 3 Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Air Traffic Control (ATCS) examinations. Please contact us today to set up an appointment to complete the requirements for your FAA/ATCS certification.
DOT/Commercial Driver’s License Examinations
We are certified medical examiners to perform Department of Transportation Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) examinations. We work with both companies and individuals to accomplish these occupational examinations, and complete all requirements as established by federal and state guidelines. If you employ drivers and you would like to work with Countryside Family Practice to have your employee screenings performed here, please contact our practice administrator at our regular office number (540) 364-1581.
Occupational Health/Workman’s Compensation
Our doctors perform pre-employment occupational exams, as well as workman’s compensation cases for workplace injuries. We offer same-day appointments, based on availability, for workplace injury evaluation and treatment.
Women’s Health and Prevention
All of our doctors perform women’s health exams, including prevention examinations for gynecological (pap smears, cancer screening) and breast cancer screening. We treat sexually transmitted infections. We offer counseling and treatment for contraception, in addition to pre-pregnancy and early pregnancy counseling.
Newborn and Pediatric Care
Total family wellness starts with healthy children! We see newborns a few days to weeks after birth, continuing with routine well baby and well child visits, childhood vaccines, sick visits, through adolescence and to adulthood.
Concussion Management and Sports Medicine
We can get you ready to play, and help mend you when you have a sports-related injury. On-site X-ray capability helps us to make the correct diagnosis. We treat children and adults for concussion management, with appropriate testing and return to sport guidelines.

Same-day Illness visits and Acute Care
When you are sick or injured, we will make every possible effort to see you the same day during our normal business hours. Please call as early in the day as possible for an appointment for the best chance to be seen quickly.
Orthopedic injury and Joint Care
Our doctors are able to diagnose and treat a wide variety of orthopedic conditions, including sprains, strains, fractures, arthritis and gout management. We perform joint injections including knee, shoulder, hip, elbow and trigger points.
Travel medicine and Immunizations
We offer a wide array of immunizations and travel medicine counseling. We will assist you with obtaining the recommended vaccines for your travel destination, and any special guidance for those areas. Please make this appointment at least 4 weeks prior to traveling outside of the U.S. and bring any vaccine records you may have with you to the appointment.
School, College, Camp and Sports Physicals
Don’t wait until it’s too late to get school, college, camp and sports physicals completed. We can perform necessary screenings and vaccinations in our office for children and adults to enter school or participate in camp/sporting events. Please schedule your exam a few weeks before it is needed, and bring completed forms and any vaccine records you may have to the visit.
Wellness and Prevention Screenings
We perform wellness screenings and prevention visits for males and females of all age groups, from newborns to geriatrics, including Medicare physicals. All of our doctors perform women’s health exams including pap smears and breast examination. Many insurance companies allow for wellness visits covered 100% with no additional copays (subject to individual plans, not available to all patients, depending on their unique plans).
On-site Laboratory and X-ray Capabilities
On-site laboratory (phlebotomy) and diagnostic radiology (X-ray) capabilities are available, as well as the services of a full service laboratory (Sunrise) next door to our office.
Basic dermatology and Minor Skin Procedures
We treat basic dermatology issues including: rashes, psoriasis, rosacea, acne, eczema, skin cancer surveillance, diagnosis and treatment of skin lesions and moles
For a variety of minor skin problems, our doctors can perform simple office-based procedures without referral to specialists. These include but are not limited to:
- Skin biopsies (pre-cancerous and malignant lesions, moles, skin tags)
- Corns, calluses, warts and other benign growths
- Ingrowing toenails
- Laceration repairs/sutures
- Cyst and abscess treatment
Allergy and Respiratory Disorder Evaluation and Treatment
We treat seasonal and food allergies, and provide asthma care, and we are equipped to do basic office pulmonary function testing for respiratory disorders including COPD and asthma. We evaluate, diagnose and treat for obstructive sleep apnea.

For true life-threatening medical emergencies, we ask you to call 911. Our doctors will respond if you leave your contact information and concerns on our urgent problem voicemail by calling the main office number. Please keep in mind, that this service is available on an emergency basis. For non-urgent issues including medication refills, scheduling appointments, billing questions, please leave a message on the non-urgent line (540) 364-9420 which will be addressed during normal business hours by our office staff. For non-urgent calls in which the doctor provides advice or treatment services, a $25 self-pay telephone consult fee may be applied to your account. Please also remember that electronic correspondence such as email is not intended for emergency situations.
