  • Norris Royston Jr., MD

    Dr. Royston grew up in Middleburg, Virginia, and attended the University of Virginia. He received his Medical Degree from VCU/Medical College of Virginia (MCV) where he received the Caravati Service Award. He served as President of the Medical Society of Virginia. He founded Countryside Family Practice in 1976. In 2014, he became one of the nation’s MDVIP physicians specializing in Preventive Care and Personalized Medicine.

    He is actively involved in the development of the community of Marshall, and was named citizen of the year of the Marshall District in 2011. Dr. Royston lives in Marshall, Virginia, and is married with three adult daughters and seven grandchildren.

  • Robert B. Houska, MD

    Dr. Houska grew up in Blacksburg, Virginia. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College and completed medical school at VCU/Medical College of Virginia (MCV) in Richmond, Virginia. He finished his residency in Family Medicine at Riverside Regional Medical Center/MCV in Newport News, Virginia and became Board Certified in Family Medicine in 1991. He practiced for three years in Lunenburg, Massachusetts, and then returned to Virginia to practice at Countryside Family Practice in 1994. He enjoys all facets of Family Medicine.

    When away from the office, Dr. Houska enjoys spending time with his wife and two grown children, mountain biking, traveling, gardening, visiting state and national parks, volunteering at the Fauquier Free Clinic, and maintaining the trails at Whitney State Forest. He lives in Warrenton with his wife.

  • Amanda C. Butler, NP

    Amanda Butler is a Fauquier native that has served the community as a nurse since 2010. She began her nursing career working in pediatrics as an LPN and then transitioned to emergency medicine as a RN for 9 years before moving onto family medicine as a nurse practitioner. She graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a master’s degree in nursing in 2022 and is a Family Nurse Practitioner board certified nationally by the ANCC. She joined Countryside Family Practice in 2022 with clinical experience as a nurse practitioner in pediatric, primary adult, women’s and geriatric care. Amanda Butler has been afforded the opportunity to care for patients in all stages of life from infancy to geriatrics. She is passionate about health promotion and educating patients and their families about healthy lifestyles in order to optimize their health.

    When away from the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and children outdoors gardening, taking on renovation projects, or caring for their many animals at their home in Midland.
